Artist Statement

When I first began intro photography I was at Poudre High School with a class of about 30, my teacher was Rick nay. We used film cameras and developed all are pictures in the dark room. Half way through the semester I transferred to Polaris expeditionary learning school with an intro class of about 8, my teacher is Cree Bol. With the smaller class there is more time to take pictures and really get your message out of the kinds of photos you like to take. There we use Nikon 3100 cameras to take all of our pictures. We also use Photoshop to make are pictures even more amazing! My two favorite elements to use are blur/aperture, and lighting.

Three of my favorite subjects for photos are funny, heartfelt, and beautiful. The photos that I don’t like as much are photos that have way too much editing where it looks like a cartoon. Photos that I love are photos with deep meaning and a story behind the picture. One thing that I like about taking pictures is that for every person your picture means something different whether they like it or not. My future plans for photography are to take at least one more photography class in high school.
