ABOUT ME.
Let me introduce myself. My name is Michel Van Looy and I am fortunate to be a photographer. I say fortunate, because for me it is more than a job, it’s a passion.
James Bond would like you to believe that Diamonds are Forever. But not for me. After polishing diamonds in Antwerp for more than two decades, I decided it was time for me to try something completely new.
My choice was photography. That was easy since I was doing it for about 15 Years
My main interest is fast moving action photography, like catching an F 14 fighter jet at speeds close to the speed of sound. And shooting F1 racing cars blasting full throttle around a racing circuit
But as I don’t want to be stuck on one topic. I have built up a vast portfolio that includes a range of subjects – from wildlife to aviation, jewelry, fashion and models to industrial environment.
I have built a website to give an idea of my style. It also offers an insight into my work, which totals more than 25.000 photo’s in my archive. And still the counter is rising
If you are an art lover with an interest in striking photography, I hope you find something here that you would like to add to your collection.

I've known Mike for several years and have watched him grow a very interesting portfolio. At one stage his interests were solely in air-shows and he has attended many, mostly in the US. He moved on(succesfully) to wildlife (once again mostly in the US) but has more recently been involved in some important (and I hope lucrative) studio work in Europe. A purist in his early days, he has since learnt the art of using Photoshop -- though I know he still prefers film to digital. He has produced prints for some fairly well-placed collectors, and some of his work now hangs in some pretty interesting places.
