I have always been fascinated by anything that is beautiful, moments that don't repeat as often as one would like, the temporary and ephemeral beauty that I wish would last for eternity. I equally adore the ugly, it is because of its existence that we love the beauty.

Born in the beautiful hills of Darjeeling, better known for it's Tea and view of Mt. Kanchenjunga, I took to photography with a fixed lens Vivitar camera but took serious photography after I played with SLR cameras of some of my friends.

Our first (serious) camera was NIKON FM10. I still use it with as much seriousness as i use my digital cameras. It was however my fathers desire to have one. He had dreamt of owning one ever since he was a young man but circumstances and other reasons had kept him away from owning one. Finally when he had one to flaunt and play with he was quite old to be able to use it. It was mine thereafter and I have taken several photos of him and mom.

My first digital camera came in the form of W6 Sony Cybershot and I still love it because of the picture quality, to be honest better than the EOS400 that my younger brother bought after pestering my mom for one.

He is learning and so am I. I am facinated by the beautiful photos taken by all of you. I get to learn every time I log in. It has been such an eye opener. I will continue to learn.

I would appreciate your comments and suggestions and advice. I believe in "Kaizen" improve continiously.
