Ich bin seit 1985 leidenschaftlicher Fotograf und habe bis vor kurzem immer mit Cameras und Objektiven der Marke Canon fotografiert. Entnervt von der Modellpolitik, den immer kürzer werdenden Produktzyklen und der Schlepperei mehrerer Kilos an Equipment habe ich vor einigen Monaten einen beherzten Schnitt gemacht, alles verkauft und komplett auf Fuji-X-Mount umgestellt. Diesen Schritt habe ich bis heute nicht bereut! Die einhergehende Rückbesinnung auf das Wesen der Fotografie, nämlich das bewusste Spiel mit Verschlusszeit, Blende, das Beschäftigen mit Festbrennweiten und nicht zuletzt die für ein derart kompaktes System verblüffende Bildqualität haben meiner Art zu fotografieren neue Impulse gegeben. Man merkt, dass bei Canon Ökonomen und Ingenieure Kameras bauen, bei Fuji tun dies Fotografen und Fotografiebegeisterte!!

I am a passionate photographer since 1985 and Canon-cameras and lenses were my continiuous companions all that time. Unnerved by Canon´s model politics, their product cycles, which are growing faster and faster and -btw- permanently carrying kilos of gear, I´ve made a determined cut some months ago by selling all that Canon-stuff and completely changing to Fuji´s X-Mount. I would never regret this decision! My personal rediscovery of the soul of photography, namely the deliberate play with shutter speed, aperture value, dealing with fixed prime lenses and not least the amazing image quality of this compact system rebooted my creativity and gave me back this certain faszination. If you´ld ask me, Canon became a brand of economists and engineers – the Fuji-guys are photo-enthusiastics listening to the needs of photo-enthusiastics. Every single shot of my Flickr-portfolio has been taken with Fuji-Cameras and the fantastic Fujinon-lenses. Just looking at my gear makes me smile!
