My name is Gaiana (pronounced just like Diana, only with a 'G'). I'm originally from Baku and Moscow, Russia. I live in beautiful Seattle, Washington. By day, I work at Microsoft, writing help documentation aimed at IT professionals for various features of Windows Server. By night, I'm a seamstress and a wannabe designer.

Passion for style, fashion, and sewing is in my blood. As a little girl, I would try on my mother's shoes and dresses, and steal her makeup. My father is a professional menswear tailor. All the women in my family know how to sew. I first picked up needle and thread when I was 9 or 10. I made simple skirts and tops all throughout high school and college. Two years ago I invested in a Brother sewing machine, and two Babylocks: the 'Imagine' serger and a cover stitch machine. I absolutely love sewing knits and jersey, but I'm open to anything.

I'm a big Project Runway fan (yay, bring on Season 12!) and imho, Mondo, Victor Luna, and Kenley Collins were the best designers in PR history. And if you don't agree... well... that is just like... you know... your opinion, man. Yes, I'm a Lebowski achiever. My all-time favorite designer is Coco Chanel. When it comes to my own point of view, my approach is to dress myself. Well fitted, simple silhouettes work best for my petite frame (I'm 5'1/2'' or 153 cm). I'm partial to funky, graphic, unusual prints and I love mixing fabrics and textures. Enjoy!

P.S. "trapkey" is how you pronounce the word "rags" in Russian :)
