Another photography lover. My abbreviated thoughts on photography:

Any format of photography is great, I enjoy them all but I've come to the realization that nothing is more satisfying to my soul than film. Think this is because of the chemical reaction that not only starts the second the shutter opens to the time the print is in the rinse bath BUT, (and perhaps most importantly) also extends to and occurs in the viewer. A real, direct, physical connection and reaction between the moment, photographer and the viewer. Like your first childhood crush or, the way you feel when you first hold your child or when someone you love hugs you or tells you they love you, there's a chemical response happening in you and it’s those live chemical reactions that make you happy, make life wonderful and more fulfilling and make film so very very special. And yes, it’s also simply very cool to watch that image emerge out the developer. I develop and print all my b&w film shots in darkroom I've recently rebuilt in our basement.

These are my photos from mostly film and sometimes digitial, of special moments or simple slices of my life. I love feedback and meeting fellow photo enthusiasts so please drop a note, critique or hello and I'll do the same for you.
