I am a Lecturer of food and beverage at West Coast Academy of Hospitality and Tourism, West Coast TAFE Joondalup.

 

At the Academy we provide a realistic environment with hands on training in Commercial Cookery and all aspects of hospitality operations.

 

The state of the art facicilities (opened 2003) include 3 fully equipped skills kitchen, barista room, canteen, deli and training restaurant (The Pavilion). The 70 seater Pavilion restaurant operates Monday to Friday for dinner from 6:30pm and Tuesday to Friday 11:30am during school times.

 

The concept of the restuarant is similar to that of Jamie Oliver's 15. Training food and beverage student co-ordinate and run the front of house with commercial cookery and apprentice students managing the kitchen
