I was interested in photography from a young age and enjoyed shooting and printing black & white. While working in sales at the local camera store, I was offered a chance to try out for local photographers who made their living shooting horse shows and endurance rides. I had the opportunity to shoot the Tevis Cup a couple of times, Levi's Ride and Tie, and other events. I will always remember my experiences working for these talented photographers and capturing the gorgeous horses and their riders. When my children were born, I spent several years recording their childhoods and gradually moved from film to digital, but still have catching up to do with the changes in technology. Not too many years ago, my daughter borrowed my Nikon, and swiveled my settings all around, and I said, "Now you've done it!" I had my settings selected and did not deviate from them much. But I am past that point now at least, and it's been satisfying and interesting to develop and refine my eye and technique.

Our family moved to the Vancouver, WA area about 8 years ago, and I have loved trying my hand at capturing the natural beauty that surrounds us.
