Just this year, I truly felt that my art had direction. That all of the effort and dedication was having an impact. Even though the future is a mystery, I feel that art and photography will always be apart of my life. Throughout this year I have learned how to let myself be. As we progressed through the class I learned how to use the studio lights and how to alter the settings on the camera to get a specific effect. By being around other people when I take pictures I’ve learned how to take criticism , and use it to make my work better.

I have noticed a pattern throughout my photography throughout a long period of time. I tend to lean towards more obscure subjects. Things that have depth are common among my projects I think. My view of things has grown. I am still trying to figure out what draws me to the mystery. To peek around the other side.. Whether I take pride in them or not, my artwork reflects me.

Above everything, I have learned that there is potential in what I do. Every week I learn something new and apply it to the projects we work on in class, and I think that photography will be apart of my life even after this class.
