It would be nice if Flickr had a blog component -- but I guess the idea is "a picture is worth a thousand words"

If you look through my photo stream you'll see a combination of things... Like, I like to take food photos, I like birds, landscapes and sunsets... What is missing is people photos... I have one favorite of mine -- School Children - St. Thomas -- over time I'll add more...

You'll also see a bunch of "playing with the camera" photos -- I like low light photos...

I'm writing this at the 99 photo point... Up till now I've been going in several directions... I see other member's streams and see people tend to specialize in a theme.. Architecture, People, Birds, Horses... etc... As varied as my photos are so far, I see a theme developing...

The theme is going to be "Photo's of Things People Overlook".

The Park that I like to photograph in is in the middle of a commercial district of a big suburb... No one notices it... The geese I like to photograph live on a runoff pond on a busy 4 lane street. The wild flowers are in a field next to a mega-super-grocery store.

People are busy and miss these things... When I was in college back in the late 70's my Physics teacher said physics is the study of beauty and unity in nature. I thought he was talking about mathematical beauty and symmetry.

Well I have lived half a lifetime since then and now I know that nature is visually beautiful, unified and symmetric and balanced... Have you ever seen an ugly flower?

So the theme will be to zoom in and point out the overlooked beauty.... At least I am going to try my darndest do do that....
