Hey, what's up. My name is Oscar Alex. I was born and raised in California and have been into photography since (I'm guessing now) my high school days. It wasn't till after 2013 that I really got into it. I began a new life and started to see the world with a profound sense of brightness. Shooting with old cameras, borrowed cameras, and my phone's camera, I have created quite the eclectic profile of my life as it's progressed. So have a look around why don't you. Hell, I even threw in some funny stories, tear jerkers, and just random thoughts about my everyday life.

I moved up to Canada a while ago, to continue my photo shenanigans there. After living in my own country for my whole life, I just felt I needed to see new sights and put those sights on film (not actual film) for all of you to see. I bought brand new (Canon) gear and new lenses and set off. I love shooting nature and landscapes because it allows me to be one with nature during the shoots. So far, I've managed to capture a variety of scenes and things, as well as the odd animal here and there. Birds, fish, aliens, cows. And yet, I've still not photographed a bear eating salmon by the river, though. But hey, there's always tomorrow.

I like to think of photography as my version of fishing. Unlike fishing, however, I do actually make a "catch" every time. I get the shot I want (or something close to it). Versus fishing, where you just sit there in the middle of a lake all day, getting burnt by hot sun, and then go home with store bought fish, because the lake fish took off on holiday and you just wasted your time for nothing.

Needless to say, I'm not big on fishing.

All of my photos here, they were originally on Instagram, but the page I had has recently (2022) been taken down by hackers. After more than 8 years on IG, it finally happened. I was relieved, though, that I kept all of my photos. So, I really only lost my long-term community of followers. So if you're coming here from my current IG page that doesn't have a lot of posts, now you know why.

So yeah, this is my photo life. I'm not a professional, nor am I just a noob. I just shoot what looks pretty to my eyes, or just what I think is cool.

I encourage you, if you're feeling lazy and just want to look at cool stuff, to spend some time and check out what I've shot so far. Browse, comment, and like (or star, in this site) and just relax. Put those chores off for an hour. It's okay if you're feeling a bit unproductive and unmotivated today. You just gotta remember that every dead body on Mount Everest was once a highly motivated person. So...

Sorry, I like to write a lot. And, oh, yeah... I like seagulls.
