Pauline has been growing orchids since 1986 and has been president of several Orchid Societies. She started out growing cymbidiums in her backyard, but soon changed to tropical orchids and erected a large greenhouse and seedling house in her backyard in California. She moved to the Big Island of Hawaii and is now growing in a large greenhouse with optimum light and weather conditions.

She was the past President twice of the local Hilo Orchid Society.

She collects fine species and old clone hybrids always refining her collection.

She has a second passion and that is art. She paints romantic seascapes and also teaches. Pauline is an animal lover supporting a number of animal charities. In the past 4-5 years she has gone on major trips to Europe and South America trying to see more of the beautiful planet and has made a number of Power Point Presentations of her trips.
