I'm a happily married, retired Safety Engineer and a native Oregonian. I've had various hobbies in my life. My current passion is birding and taking bird photographs. I'm also a ham radio operator (W7EYE) and have talked with/ contacted other ham radio operators in every country in the entire world (using SSB and International Morse Code). I'm fluent in Spanish as well as English. On Jan. 1, 2013, I set myself a goal of trying to identify (and hopefully photograph) 400 or more bird species in Oregon. I reached and passed that goal in 2021. As of June. 2024, I've identified 407 bird species in Oregon and have photos of over 395 bird species in Oregon.
