Charlie Kirkwood
Drag to set position!
My name is Charlie. I'm a Software Consultant/DBA currently pursuing some serious entertainment! My career keeps me inside much of the time, so when I get a chance to see the sun, I'm looking for some adventure! Anywhere from the mountains to the beach, the city to the country, I'll find something interesting or exciting to do.
I have lots of hobbies; whether it's scaling a lead-route at any number of local rock climbing destinations, rolling through the woods on a mountain bike, gliding along the river on rollerblades, motorcycling though the country, or laying in a park in the warmer months watching the world go by. The winter brings with it additional passions - snowboarding and ice-climbing... I have dabbled in many other activities, and I'm always open to new possibilities! I love animals, especially dogs, but I don't have any, so when I want a puppy-fix I'll visit the local puppy park just to romp around.
In the evening I might explore the city's excellent culinary offerings followed by some dancing (i LOVE to Dance!) or live music. If its time to relax I'll either pop in a movie, get together with friends for good conversation, or sit in a coffee shop perusing the latest news, or my favorite magazine.
In the past year I've begun to pursue a life-long dream of acting! 7 performances down: the first a 20 minute monologue, the second was 3 roles in The Laramie Project (one was a lead role!) and the 3rd was singing and dancing on stage as ROCKY in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and rounding out the list with Some Shakespeare. I played Bertram, a lead in Alls Well That Ends Well... Ferdinand (the romantic lead) in The Tempest, Hamlet in 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead' and just closed as Edmund The Bastard in King Lear. A fast-paced comedy called The Philadelphia is Next!
Moving Forward: If you've ever taken a Meyers Briggs Personality test, I'm a SOLID ESFP. (Take a quick 4 question test here: haleonline.com/psychtest/)
