I'm a speech-language pathologist by trade, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I like my job, but my first love is the outdoors -- I've been an amateur naturalist since... well, probably ever since I started walking and talking!
Photography has become my hobby and my addiction over the last several years. I have always found so much beauty in the world, and I always seemed to see things others didn't. Now, through photography, I can let others see through my eyes, and share the magic I find all around me.
Equipment:
Oct. '07 - March '08: Fuji Finepix A900. My first digital camera, a little compact point-n-shoot that started my photography addiction.
April '08 - Sept. '12: Fuji Finepix S8100fd. An advanced point-n-shoot with a good zoom and some manual controls, a very good all-purpose camera.
Oct '12 to present : Canon Eos Rebel T3i: My first DSLR and primary camera. At present I'm limited to 3 lenses: the 15-55mm kit lens, a 70-300mm zoom and a 90mm macro.
March '17 to present - Fuji Finepix S9800. Another advanced point-n-shoot, used for backpacking trips and other travels where the DSLR is just too heavy and bulky.
A few pics here were taken with a Nikon Coolpix P520; I was never happy with it and bought the second Fuji to replace it.
Software: Microsoft Image Composite Editor for panorama creation, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
