I guess a good description of me would be a transport junkie. I've been around lorries and buses all my life as my dad was a transport manager at Tate and Lyle and a very keen bus and train enthusiast. This wore off on me, so on leaving school I signed up for an apprenticeship at London Transport. Although I was a garage apprentice and I also served part of my time at Acton Rail works and Aldenham. A job change and several locations later, including London Coaches and I left, becoming self employed for a year. A spell of driving buses followed before taking my HGV and becoming a lorry driver, which over twenty five years later is still my profession. I've had a fairly large number of cars, quite a few rarities, half a dozen or so motorbikes, four buses and four lorries. The currant fleet is on my photostream and is unlikely to change as with a full time job and a large garden, which includes the model Railway, it's about enough.
