I am a VERY amateur artist and like to work relatively small and in great detail using both pencil and watercolour. I also photograph steam locomotives and have been fascinated by them since i was a young boy. I love to use them as part of the landscape and in particular on the Settle to Carlisle railway less than an hour from where i live in the UK. This passion also gives me plenty of exercise striding up hill and down dale which i richly need after spending so long sat with my artwork. I am lucky to have two interests one of which i can do in poor weather and the other during the rare times (!) we see sunshine in this part of Northern England.

I really do like to see what others can do with their cameras and how differently we all see subject matter. There is a lot of talent out yonder!
