My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic (remember them anyone) which was given to me for my 16th birthday by my then boyfriend. I even remember his name was Kevin. Wonder what happened to him.

Many years later I bought myself an Olympus Trip. This had a solar battery around the lens. I wonder why this did not catch on. It worked really well and made good sense.

I became really interested in photography as an art when I studies media at the University of Newcastle (I was working as a journalist at the time) and my love of photography became a full blown passion.

I now have a Pentax K200D which is amazing but getting very heavy to carry around, so I keep it for special occasions now that I am retired.

My most recent aquisition is a Samsung Galaxy Camera (not phone) which has so many features including panorama which is my latest passion.

I live in Cardiff, Wales, UK but am currently visiting family in Australia.
