Some shoot beautiful photographs; some shoot important documents. Ömer does both within the same frame. His straightforward photography is a perfect example for "one picture worth a thousand words"

In a world darkened by illusions, Ömer’s photographs remain in the viewer’s mind as images bearing the pure light of reality. When photographing forgotten, unnoticed, unobserved and overlooked facts, Ömer does not fall into the traps of agitation, affectation or heavy dramatisation in order to render them more striking, amusing, or pathetic. His frames are narrative, never distorting the reality within. In view of his frankness, he has turned his back upon the world’s illusionist front, and remains loyal to the moment he has captured: he has no concern for making a photograph look more elegant and refined by botching delusional techniques. All this reality may seem to be tedious, however, surprisingly, the closer Ömer’s work come to reality, the further they go from tediousness. I personally believe that, at the moment he presses the shutter button, Ömer infuses the image he sees through the lens with a special incense. In this incense I can sense humanism, decisive expression, purpose, an impressive sense of humour, sensitivity, a rich spirit and a passion for photography. There is, of course, far more to be discovered, but this is only what my senses could reach. Prepared in his Devil’s Kitchen of a mind, each new photograph that is uploaded onto Flickr comes next to the previous word; his entire photostream would make quite a thick book if all his series of images were printed. Such an observant, gripping novel would hold its audience to its every word. As for the author of this novel of photographs, a rare specimen of his kind, he is a saint who gives courage to humanity that tries to capture the runaway world by its cuff or sleeve. And this is what makes him a "Saint".

He shows us every sides of Turkey through his pupils, the innocence of the little kids, the sadness in a man's eyes, the helplessness of a homeless, the everyday life of Turkey, the natural scenery of Turkey... Now, Turkey is surely on my travel plan. :) *Hugs + Kisses*

I think his photography is blessed indeed and I believe he is really a Saint. His pictures are full of emotion.
