Welcome to the new Ochileer - well - really the same Ochileer but a different Flickr account.

Why? sounds like a simple question . . . and the the answer will make rocket science seem simple!

Back in the mists of time, Flickr was taken over by Yahoo. We got used to it. Flickr users have an incredible capability to get used to almost anything.

After many dark ages Flickr was set to be taken over by something called Oath and while uttering a few of those myself I decided to call it a day and terminate my presence in the Fickrverse. i removed all my images and videos and deleted my Yahoo account - well Flickr was still part of Yahoo wasn't it? So that should take care of it? Big Mistake.

My Flickr account was still active and I could access it from my computer, but I could not log in from anyplace else. So undeterred I found out where to to terminate my Flickr account - all I needed was the email address I signed up with - the Yahoo address I had just eradicated!

You can check out any time you like, but you can NEVER leave!

SO I came back - but what would happen when I replaced my computer? I would lose access to my Flickr account.

Inspiration struck - or was it madness? I created a new Yahoo email identical to the one I had deleted and applied to join Flickr with it. All went well until I tried to use the name Ochileer - not so surprising really.

Solution:

My handle is now -Ochileer- and my "real" name is Ochileer
