This is a bit out of date, I'll rewrite & update it soon!! in the meantime.......................

I've been doing this for just over a year now, I got my first DSLR October 08 when I started an evening class in basic photography skills and became completely hooked

I'm very keen to learn and would welcome advice or comments of any kind :)

I'm at the start of what I hope will be a long and exciting journey......

PS. I LOVE my Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 ALOT!! The best thing I have ever bought!!! I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY ! ( Both as an art form & as a means of documenting life )

Jacqui has such a way with light and her trusty 50mm lens. I can only wait in awe as what she'll create next.

I can't believe no-one has written MWP a testimonial yet. MotherWifePhotographer (I really must ask her real name sometime!) has an incredible talent and an instinctive 'eye' for the perfect shot. I'm compelled to use words and phrases like 'ethereal' and 'ineffable' and 'unutterably beautiful' to describe her photostream. She primarily uses the 50mm 1.4 Nikkor lens, and I don't think anyone else employs it as effectively, in order to capture the delicate innocence of childhood. Of course it helps that her children are so utterly lovely! MWP is fairly new to photography, and yet I find myself haunting her photostream in search of inspiration and to study her impressive technique. On top of that, she is a wonderfully supportive Flickr friend. If you haven't perused her stream yet, you are missing great beauty and great talent.
