Llevo un par de minutos intentando ver como parto escribiendo esto. Mmmm.. tengo una confusión interna gigante!.. No logro encontrar las palabras exactas que describan realmente tu trabajo con justicia. Como decir algo que ya no te hayan dicho. Elegancia, genialidad, creatividad, pasión, delicadeza son solo algunas de las palabras que toman un nuevo significado cada vez que veo una de tus fotos. En ellas muchas veces he encontrado un refugio en el cual me permito soñar y donde puedo olvidar por un instante lo que ocurre a mí alrededor sintiéndome realmente libre. Como luchar continuamente con la tentación de marcar tus fotos como favoritas, sin caer en la adicción (blush). Seré honesto, hay veces que llegas a ser irritante (chuckle) LOL. I love the universe blue-velvet has created. It bears her mark very explicitly but on the other hand is reminiscent of a lot of classical influences you can recognize throughout her pictures. The great thing about it however is that she does not just copy them but gives them her own visionary interpretation. Her B&W pictures show great skill: tones, lighting, composition...this lady knows how to take pictures :-) I love coming back here, because every time it is a delight to watch her new pictures: daring, inspired and inspirational, and technically of a very high class. I can recommend her photostream to anyone who is interested in B&W photography...it will help you improve your own skills and pictures...and I got acquainted with some great poetry through her :-)

ya, es preciso que escriba esto...mi testimonio, suena como a caso policial...debe ser en tercera persona supongo... Paula llegó a definir a todas las paulas que he conocido en mi vida, porque paulas para mí ya no hay más :) Debo confesar primero que soy una persona sin principios ni valores estéticos, uso la fotografía para conocer gente, perspectivas, mundos distintos y creo que conocer la mirada de la Paula ha sido una de las "pulentas" sorpresas que me he llevado. Extrañamente siento que somos absolutamente distintas, para mi todo risa (la humanidad) , hace unos años decidí enfrentar el mundo de ese modo y creo que es el que más me acomoda y funciona...pero esta chiquilla es una mujer llena de convicciones, apasionada, con ideales, conocedora del mundo y de los seres que la habitan. Al conocerla he descubierto que también es una persona con un humor sumamente inteligente, humilde, talentosa y hermosa. Me encantan tus desafios, me encanta ser parte de tu creación, si fuera por mi te obligaría a que solo me saques fotos a mi, porque solo yo quiero ser tu musa :D ... eso pasa cuando uno adora algo, lo quiero solo para uno, pero la belleza es tanta, que me fascina todos puedan ver lo maravillosa y talentosa que eres, me enorgullece conocerte y saber que estás ahí, en cada foto. In her work, taste is many hours of reading, many hours of observing carefully art in galleries all over the world, many hours enjoying art in its different forms. Without that self-training, I would imagine it is almost impossible to reach such aesthetic taste. Being an artist, among other possible definitions, is to share the worldview of other artists or to belong to the art community. Paula (blue-velvet) has entered the art community long time ago while sharing a highly accomplish sense of taste.

Bueno Paula, llevo tiempo admirando tu trabajo y lo unico que puedo decir es que es espectacular. The search behind the closed doors of consensus reality by David Lynch in his artful analysis draws a parallel with the sweet and sultry artist who sees herself as 'Blue'. Her facade of intrigue seems to be the fine body she possesses and indeed caresses (with her own eyes). Her prolific output of artful and insightful images reassures the viewer that she is far from 'knowing' and this, I suggest, is reason to celebrate (dare is say masturbate!) Her appeal transcends gender as Lynch transcends reason......... Oh, and take a look at the 1986 classic of our namesake........Isabella Rosselini aka Dorothy Vallens is indeed reborn three decades on and the truth of Dennis Hooper's aka Frank Booths words echo in her ears........"Don't you fuckin look at me!"

The first time i visited your photo-stream... i felt like i was not alone anymore, Paula. It never happened before... What i was watching was not only a long album of wonderful photographs, not only a fascinating, sensual woman, not only the great art-work by a very unique artist... No. That strange, seductive creature came out of the screen and talk to me... whispering a new language that no other speaked before. But, strangely, a language that only you and me could understand. Still now, everytime i go into your world, i start to dream. A dream made of intimate feelings, soft dialogue, and nude confessions. I can feel your smell, your voice, your silence, your hopes, your fears... You start to walk into my room and i take pics of your dances. Your body speaks, your eyes talk... Sometimes it's a screaming for help, sometimes it's a peaceful singing, sometimes a silent sensual beatitude... Everytime it's like looking at the world with your eyes.
