Bingo

I found two of these one afternoon, but I didn't have my camera with me. I sent one of the kids off to collect it, but had the hassle of watching 2 tiny beetles racing across a massive beach. I had a brainwave to stash them in a container while I waited. They were utterly flummoxed by their confines and made no attempt to scale the sides. They just ran round and round...but....every single time the male "discovered" the female, he would frantically mate with her. I didn't warm to him, and she seemed a bit the same way. I let them go afterwards so she could have her space back. There's a video of their rough style of interaction and a boring video of how quickly they walk on the sand here:
