NIRVANA
By the time the 90's were over, so was my love affair with music. Since then, I've mostly listened to National Public Radio. When people ask me what kind of music I listen to, I never really know how to answer, because "I don't listen to music" sounds so severe, and doesn't tell the whole story, but it's mostly been true. This week I decided to rediscover one of my all time favorite bands. I was a bit relieved (if slightly inconvenienced) to discover that they just aren't available at most Big Box stores, such as Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, etc. It fits with their anti-corporate ethos, and forced me to find an actual record store. Who knew there was still such a thing? I bought CDs, because that's about as far as I ever evolved musically. The last time I owned half of these they were on cassette, and I was still making mix tapes.
