Building a bridge in SeaTac
The new flyover ramp that will provide a link from northbound I-5 to the new SR 509 Expressway in SeaTac is in construction.
The ramp consists of 24 concrete girders, ranging from 65 feet to nearly 200 feet long. The flyover ramp is slightly elevated on one side to accommodate the curve as it crosses over I-5.
The SR 509 Completion project is part of the Puget Sound Gateway Program which completes critical missing links in Washington state's highway and freight network.
