CSS&SB GP38-2 2003+, Hammond, IN rs

A 3-pack of GP38-2s are on the pulll out of Burnham yard with a NORX coal train bound for Michigan City. You can't see the third one in this picture since it's hidden by the curve that leads into Hammond. It's March 7, 1981 and Winter is packing its bags to leave Da Region, but Spring looks to be not too close just yet. The blue and yellow livery that the South Shore GP's wear reflect on its owner at the time, minus the neat Cat herald. Too bad, they couldn't have slapped the South Shore shield on the nose, at least.
