Empty Spaces

Walking on the shoreline of Whitefish Bay offers numerous feelings of emptiness and isolation as the view suggests being far and away.

Though it is a birds paradise, I wasn't able to capture any avian specie that day.

The clouds were a bit dark in the afternoon. A flock of gulls gathered on the nearby dead tree, all flew away as i attempted to take a shot.

But for anything else, the place offers some possibilities for photography.

The beach though rocky was dramatic. The farther the walk from the shores the more moody the scene becomes.

One thing that caught my attention was this single bird watcher's post standing amidst the natural ruble of the beach. I reckoned this itself is great as a subject, together with other factors like the elements and lighting, everything seems to fall in place. Even the clouds on the background was brewing like an angry rainstorm.

The foreground though a bit dismal still it shouts to be captured and those lines that supports the post from wind or weather are like lines that can define composition.
