I guess with my little photo shoot in Conway I decided to bring the controversy. It was not my intention, I just shot things I had an interest in when I lived there. So the story of this house...I honestly didn't know a lot about it when I lived in Conway, other than people hate it. I've only ever heard it referred to as "the junk house," and I remember reading the paper that the owner was forced to clean up the yard a bit and pay a fine. I think the place is beautiful for the concept and detail alone. It is the embodiment of "one man's junk is another man's treasure." I'm not saying I love every piece but that's true with all art. I do admire it all though. I love the fact that I could probably spend hours there and still not notice everything.

 

I did a bit of googling when I got home to find out more about this house. I found this pretty interesting article. It turns out the house is owned by Lester Gene Hatfield. All art photographed in his yard was of course his creation.
