Lothian Buses plc 849 (SN57 DEU), 2007 Volvo B9TL / Wright Gemini Eclipse H44/29F, Princes Street, Edinburgh, 26 September 2007.
The first batch of Volvo B9TL for Lothian Buses entered service during August through to November 2007. They were allocated fleet numbers 826 - 839 (SK07 xxx series registrations) & 840 - 875 (SN57 xxx series registrations). Their harlequin livery was replaced with the madder and white swoops style during first repaint from around 2012.
In 2018 ten buses (841 - 850) were fully refurbished, re-trimmed with high back seating, new flooring and other features, including a repaint into dark grey livery, and transferred to the new Lothian Coaches Ltd operation. Registrations MXZ 1751 - MXZ 1760 were allocated in lieu of the original SN57 xx marks.
Subsequently, the MXZ registered buses (841 - 850) moved to Lothian Country Buses Ltd. They gained cream and green vinyls on the front and rear destination glazing, and some (841, 842 & 843) were in due course repainted green and cream. Later all were transferred to East Coach Buses Ltd retaining either grey or green and cream liveries.
