The forgotten place

Redcar Boating lake, it seems there are police traffic cones dotted around.

The 1950s and 1960s were the heyday for English seaside towns such as this. The boating lake was surrounded by two swimming pools and a skating rink. Bands played every evening during the summer. Crowds flocked to the area. As cheap flights and package deals to Europe became available resorts such as this went quickly into decline. Nowadays, the boating lake is only used by the model boating club, there are no boats for hire at any time of year. The swimming pools and skating rink are long gone.
