2 Throwback - Joe Lusby volunteering in Ward 8, Erne Hospital - 07.06.11 006
Back in June 2011 patients received hands on help from senior healthcare managers and directors who took time to volunteer as mealtime friends and general ward helpers at Altnagelvin, Tyrone County and Erne Hospitals to mark national Volunteers’ Week from 1 to 7 June. The senior managers assisted by serving meals, helping patients and carrying out general ward duties such as restocking cabinets and stores with supplies.
Joe himself said: “We would like to thank our highly valued volunteers, not least for the generosity with which they give their time, but for their dedication and commitment and the wonderful diversity they bring. Our volunteers complement the role of paid staff and enhance the patient experience. We are extremely fortunate to have so many people from the community supporting the Trust.”
