Same train, different day

While the scenery and weather for my "rest day" were excellent the rail traffic was lackluster. It was about 8 hours of tranquility from when the Hinkle-Spokane train passed that morning until I spied this train round the curve just upriver from Ayer. Yes, it's the same CP unit train that I shot twice the day before. Like a bad penny. But of course I was just happy to have something to shoot. Regardless, I don't know the destination of this grainer but it's obviously a quick turn.

I was set up to shoot a southbound featuring the bridge but thankfully the rugged approach to the bridge lends itself to a consolation side-shot with the smallest bit or repositioning. September 3, 2023.
