Luna moth - rare & first of the year
Harry spotted the first (and probably only) big Luna moth that we'll see this year. He was pruning the camellias - light was terrible. But it's always a special day when you see one & it let me get close. They can't eat so live only long enough to reproduce - and fly at night. We saw one flying through our yard in daytime once ... and it was jaw-dropping. If you ever seen a Luna moth fly in the daylight - you will believe in God.
