Teach for Bulgaria
Ambassador Marcie B. Ries visited the 8th grade English class at the High School #17 "Damyan Gruev" in Sofia, where she talked with students, encouraged them to study English, and answered questions about her own education and her impressions of Bulgaria. The visit was part of Teach for Bulgaria Week, an initiative by the Teach for Bulgaria NGO to invite leaders to visit classrooms and share their stories and advice with students. Teach for Bulgaria is devoted to ensuring access to high-quality education for every Bulgarian child by encouraging and training capable and ambitious young people to be motivational teachers.
