The third day of the "YSEALI Initiative's Generation EARTH" workshop included a field trip to the Floating Village on the Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia.
There, the group helped village members place markers around the protected fisheries area located near the village to protect their community and help preserve their livelihood in preparation for Cambodia's rainy season.
The U.S. Embassy brings together 72 young Southeast Asian leaders to Siem Reap for the workshop aiming to to foster a deeper understanding of challenges to the environment facing the ASEAN region and beyond.
Participants include young people between the age of 18-25 from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
