Ten USAMRICD personnel visited the center to teach children about four senses: touch, sight, hearing and smell with hands-on activities. The children also learned about personal protective equipment.
“Our five senses connect us to the world around us and all senses connect to our brain,” Hoard-Fruchey said. “At USAMRICD, we have many neuroscientists and we are keenly aware of how import brain function is for quality of life. These activities are meant to get very young children excited about science and thinking about our five senses in relation to both our brain power and our interactions with daily life.”
