USS Tortuga pulls alongside fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos
PHILIPPINE SEA (Sept. 4, 2012) - Amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) , far left, pulls alongside fleet replenishment oiler USNS Pecos to conduct a dual replenishment at sea with amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6). Pecos performed a RAS with both ships while underway. Bonhomme Richard, commanded by Capt. Daniel Dusek, is the lead ship of the only forward-deployed amphibious ready group.
