Today this building (in Boydton, Mecklenburg County, Virginia) is a market and deli; it originally was a gas station, built in 1948 (another source I have says about 1935). It is in the Moderne style and once had white enamel panels. Above the entrance is a distinctive sole parapet with four vertical rows of glass block. A large area on the left served as the garage. The glass at the right is segmented so it can follow the rounded corner of the structure. It is part of the Boydton Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places 16 May 2002, ID reference #02000511
