This is the former Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control store in Boydton, Mecklenburg, Virginia. It has not been an ABC store for some time and is currently being used for various governmental services. Built in 1949 in the Moderne style, it is typical of the Virginia state-wide architectural model for the alcohol sales centers of that time. One-story high, the front façade is symmetrical, made of cut granite and curved glass block. The darker portions at the base are also of granite. Two single-leaf doors at the corners have transoms and grooved wood molding; the doors are separated by three large panes of glass. At each end of the front façade are panels of fluted cut stone. In the upper corners is a star pattern, probably decorative rather than symbolic. At the top in each corner, a decorative star is used. It is part of the Boydton Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places 16 May 2002, ID reference #02000511
