Today I went to spa park for testing my new bridge camera Canon SX50 HS.
Its image quality is anything else than brilliant but what can You expect from a small 1/2,3" CMOS-Sensor.
Nevertheless the 50x optical Zoom (24-1200mm) is right useful for such small animals from a distance.
If You can get along with its mediocre image quality, the SX50 HS is an affordable and good bridge camera in my opinion. A little bit noisy but stressless to handle (no lense changing). It`s too big for the jacket pocket but perfect to store in the glove box for example.
