photo by K. A. "This was totally out-of-this-world experience. Half an hour ago I bumped into U2! I was walking up 57th Street and was waiting for the walk signal at the intersection with 6th Avenue, when suddenly you could see several pilot motorists cutting off access to the street... So I am thinking this might be some important government man in a black bullet-proof limo... Then I can hear people screaming and running along... I still cannot see who is the important person, but I realize this is not a politician. Cheers were too sincere... So OK, I am prepared to meet a famous person... some celbrity maybe, because we are in NY after all. And there he is! Right behind a parked van emerges a long platform-truck with Bono sitting up there.... Bono from U2! It just blew me away. I am not a great U2 fan (though "Pride" is a personal favorite) and yet I was thunderstruck... Sitting there my brain totally blocked for several moments... Took me some time to figure out where I was and that I actually have a camera in my right pocket...
