Assassin Bug (Reduviidae, Hemiptera) on a fern leaflet
This is a different Assassin Bug (family Reduviidae, in the insect order Hemiptera) perched on a fern leaflet in the Oregon woods. It has a frosted head and thorax, and a rather "depleted" abdomen. I don't know what it is. (Near Susan Creek, North Umpqua River, Oregon, 17 August 2012)
