pre-mode cleaner

It turns out that an off-the-shelf digital camera has some sensitivity to infrared. Here's looking at part of our optical table, which is criss-crossed by 1064nm (infrared) laser beams. The digital camera sees laser light scattered from optics as purple. The large block here is our "pre-mode cleaner," a resonant cavity (er, chunk of quartz) that makes the laser light even more monochromatic.
