Canadian Chef's Knife
I like my kitchen knives.
A friend of mine in NC is a custom knife maker. He isn't a fan of my Henckel knives, so I challenged him to do better. This is what he came up with.
It's an 8" chef's knife. The handle is made from Carbon Fiber and polycarbonate riveted to a full tang with titanium. The blade is unusually ground for a kitchen knife. It's a vertical hollow grind with a rough sand-blasted spine. The idea is to make a blade uniquely suited for slicing sticky foods that tend to adhere to more traditional knives.
It's literally sharp enough to shave with :-)
After seeing it, another Canadian living down here wanted the same knife made. Alan's branded it the Canadian Chef's Knife.
