This image was one from a series I did for my photography class. It's representative of the way I felt after the unexpected death of my dad - less than a week after his death, it was expected that I would go back to work, smile at people, be civil, and be okay inside. I wasn't.
The silhouette is how I actually felt. The portrait is the stoic face I had to put on to go about daily life.
