Many disabled want to vote, but find it difficult to locate a caretaker to get them in and out of their car. D.C. permits "curbside voting": A person must show I.D., must sign the voting roll, and gets a paper ballot to fill out.
Curbside voting is very popular in my neighborhood! There is a far higher rate of disability among poor African Americans than any other socio-economic or racial class.
