Managed to catch up with 3 of the Sparrowhawk chicks which I photographed just a couple of weeks ago when they were but fluffy balls,now looking every bit troublesome youths! There were 5 chicks hatched and we think 1 has already perished shortly after it left the nest having not been seen again after that day so possibly predated or unable to get back to the nest for food,yesterday these 3 were sat next to each other briefly on a branch waiting to make their move when the next kill arrived,lovely shrivelight lighting the birds up and not to many branches/leaves in the way!
