Thoth Needlepoint Kit

Kit available here!

Thoth is known as being the wisest of the Egyptian Gods, and here I have represented him as the ibis-headed scribe. The Egyptian name of Thoth, Djehuty, means 'truth' and 'time'. He was a master magickian, and the inventor of astrology, astronomy, engineering, botany, geometry, and many other sciences. Thoth is considered to be a Moon God, the curve of the ibis beak representing the crescent Moon.

The hieroglyphs in the centre of the design are letting us know that Thoth is the messenger and scribe to the Gods in the skies above. (Now that's a Michelle-translation, so if anyone can elaborate, please do!)

Each kit comes with:

- Easy to follow graph pattern

- Full 'how to cross stitch' instructions + handy tips

- Generous supply of high-quality wool from the Australian Tapestry Workshop

- Blank 10-count open-weave canvas (much easier and more accurate to stitch than printed canvas)

- Size 20 tapestry needle

All packed in a black glossy bag with rope handles - perfect for carrying your work around!
