St. Joseph's Catholic School (1928) - Omaha, NE
Built in 1928 as the St. Joseph School and Community Center. It was the site of church events and also featured a bowling alley. The elementary school quickly grew, with enrollment peaking in the 1930's and 1940's. A high school was added in 1939. Enrollment began to decline in the 1950's, and the elementary school finally closed in 1982 and the high school followed in 1983.
The building later became the Central Christian School but it has been closed for several years. The property has been for sale but appears to be off the market at the present time.
