Royal seal. The left section of the seal has some strange kind of script that we haven't been able to identify.
The description from the exhibit case:
Seal of the King of the Ryukyu Kingdom, Granted in the 17th Century (Replica)
Length 9.7 cm X Width 10 cm X height 10 cm, Weight 4.5 kg
King Sho Shitsu was granted this seal by the Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) after the fall of China's Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Before receiving this seal, the Ryukyus had returned the Seal of the King granted by the Ming Dynasty.
